The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson

1.0

I HATED this book and I almost never hate books. I don't always need to like characters but I do need to care about them and Swanson's characters are too one-dimensional to warrant anything beyond an eye roll. The husband clearly hates women and I'm convinced that if not for his money, he would be an incel. The women are no better: one likes sex and nothing else while the other likes murder and nothing else. The story went nowhere, there was no suspense, there was nothing that happened that moved the needle for me. The positive thing I can say is that the writing flowed nicely, making it a quick read, of not engaging. This is the first book I've read from Peter Swanson and if this is representative of his work, it will be the last.
