Tell No One
by Harlan Coben
Gripping plot. Great premise that branches into a well-crafted unraveling narrative.
But Coben’s 2009 thriller displays just how fast cultural shifts are happening in American society. His use of crackhead, street slang, and other dated terms already seem out of place and less than appropriate.
Not profound. Every female character is principle defined by their relationship to men, even the lesbian couple.
Felt like the plot had so many possibilities for additional suspense, but rushed a conclusion. Like: “I know you’ve been looking for a plot twist, here are two more, and I’m tired of writing. the end.”
