The Possibility of Now by Kim Culbertson

2.0

why did this girl bring her “now list” binder on a ski lift? The heck is she gonna do with it on a Mountain? Like what plop it down in the show? Hold it while you ski down? Strap it to your back???

The book isn’t bad, it’s mildly entertaining and I really loved the snow bum subculture and just general winter atmosphere. I’m in Colorado with family for New Years so it was a great way to set the mood. But gosh the ending chapters ruined it. Like it got so point blank inspirational and dropped all possible subtlety~and just beats you over the ass with its very basic and very easy to understand thesis. It’s overall an entertaining book I just don’t love it when books have so little confidence in their readers’ ability to learn a lesson without having each character directly state what they’ve learned and how their arc went.
