Though I know that I'm not a big fan of celebrity/Hollywood romance, I surprisingly loved this one! I've read a couple of Nix's books before and I loved the writing style, including the one in this book.

It has enemies to lovers trope (which is... my top favorite) between an A list Hollywood actress with her nemesis reporter that turns into second chance romance. Since this is a novella, the pace of the book felt really fast, even the relationship was insta-love. The characters turned from enemies to friends to lovers very quickly, I wished we could see more of them as enemies and didn't suddenly forgive each other after 20% of the book, and find themselves in her bed after.

I loved how the author portrayed the reality of having a relationship in the Hollywood industry and how she described panic attacks in a realistic way. The mental health issue representation is definitely a plus point.

This book felt like a second half of normal length romance books where they finally start liking each other and deciding on what their relationship should be. I can see that it has so much potential as a normal length romance book, but even as a novella, it already is great enough.

Overall, it was a very fun lighthearted short read. Will definitely read the rest of the series!
