Really beautiful writing and told in vignettes from several points of view. It was easy to follow where the story was headed and it meandered there to set up the plot in the last few chapters.
I did not at all expect the ending and it left me feeling incredibly numb until all the characters were tied back together by the things left behind by the notable character's death.
