I received this book from Susan of Audiobook Jukebox for a honest review.

The Accidental Demon Slayer is the first book in the Demon Slayer series. The series has been out for a few years in written format, but recently the series has become available on audio. Overall I have mostly good things to say about this book. I found the story funny and entertaining. But like most Paranormal fiction romance novels, this book falls into the predictable category. Also the story went on a little long for my taste.

On Lizzie 30th birthday she find out that she is a witch. Once in a generation, a demon slayer born. This book reminded me a lot of the Buffy the Vampire Tv series. There are a host of characters very similar to the Scooby gang. My favorite character was Pirate Lizzie's dog. He was fun. Lizzie and her gang go on many crazy adventure. They have to make hard choices and face evil. Also there are variety of super natural creatures in this book.

Prior to finding out about the magical world Lizzie had lived a very up tight life. As the story progress Lizzie learn how get in touch with her inner bad girl. If you like series such as The Hollows by Kim Harrison or the Undead series by MaryJanice Davidson I think that you might enjoy this book. I do plan to read the next book in this series.
