I just finished the book last night and am still on the fence on whether I liked it or not. I think that's because it is a YA book and written from a young adult perspective. There was good character development and there was depth. If I put myself back in high school and college I could totally relate to Connell, as well as Marianne. I was a big fan of Connell's mom, Lorraine. I wish there would have been more dialog, or even just more information, about Marianne's family. There was enough for me to despise them and the way they treated Marianne but I still would have liked more from them. I certainly hope there is a sequel...
