Run to Ground by Jasper Bark

5.0

I really enjoyed Run To Ground, which makes up about 50% of this book. It gripped me from beginning to end, there was gore, great character development, original, and a rich and really well thought out occult world (based loosely on fact) that seethed beneath it all. It reminded me of Clive Barker's Rawhead Rex but with more depth, and I mean that in the best way.

How The Dark Bleeds was the next story, also part of the heresy series. While it was a completely different type of story, it really did fit nicely in the mythos. I also loved this story, it was even more psychological than the first, and it left me thinking about it long after.

I am excited to read more of the heresy series, and really, all of Jasper's work!
