Twilight / Life and Death by Stephenie Meyer

2.0

I had HUGE expectations of how awesome this book was gonna be. I will say that the beginning of this book was AMAZING. I understood Beau's thoughts a little better than Bella's and even enjoyed him more than her. I loved to read about the twists Stephenie used to remind me of the good days. This is the only reason why this book has two stars instead of one.

THE ENDING
This was the most controversial thing for me that made me hate the book. At the end Stephenie lets readers know that she was "experimenting" with what would happen if Bella/Beau turned into a vampire. I was expecting a gender-bent twilight. That's all I wanted. I didn't care about other options Bella would have had because I loved the ending of twilight.
I also didn't enjoy how every book in the series (EXCEPT MY FAVORITE ECLIPSE) was squished into a couple paragraphs--the volturi, the Denali coven-- and there was NO WEDDING!! But we did get a very depressing FUNERAL AND WOLF MEETING.
If anyone was team Jacob (if you're even still doing that) your dreams would be crushed. He (she?) was barely in the book.
I was really disappointed with this book. I did appreciate the feelings that were reignited but it's gonna be a while before I pick up anything else stephenie Meyer for a while...
