Of Neptune by Anna Banks
2.0

I had a lot of problems with this book... I'm really aggravated right now just thinking about it! This is my least favorite in the trilogy for sure. In order it's: Of Poseidon, Of Triton, Of Neptune. Though I've had problems with this book, it was still a fun read. I enjoyed some aspects of it, but to be honest? You could stop with the second book. I think the second book had a nice wrap-up, but I guess if you look at it from a different point of view... This book was necessary...(Does that make sense?) 2.5 stars.

SPOILERS DOWN BELOW
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO NEPTUNE! We don't get any conclusion for it whatsoever! Sure we can assume that everything is alright with the appearance of Reed at their mating ceremony but I NEED CONFIRMATION! The second book had a better wrap up than this book. What happened to Tyrden? What happened to Neptune? What did the Archives do about the town? Are all half-breed finally accepted? Do the freshwater and Saltwater coincide? Guess what? NONE of this is mentioned in the Epilogue! WHAT THE... I was really pissed off. But we can just assume everything's alright huh? NO. Also, we can assume that Galen is alright with living on land with Emma? No resolution on that conflict either. We can just assume right? >:( With the whole apartment thing.

During the Epilogue, I felt nothing. I know it was supposed to be sweet and romantic and etc., but I felt very platonic and neutral about the whole thing. I guess I was still pretty angry or I was waiting for some resolution about Neptune or something, but I got none of that! I pretty much skimmed the Epilogue. ASSUME ASSUME ASSUME!

Do humans find out about the Syrena? I'm assuming it's still a secret, but they've been constantly mentioning that eventually they will find out. Nothing about that mentioned in the Epilogue.

There was barely any Toraf and Rayna in this book which really disappointed me because they're like my favorite characters/couple in this series.

Let's talk about the argument between Galen and Emma in the beginning. I just felt like that argument was so annoying. I felt like Emma doesn't know Galen enough if she just automatically assumes the worst. Of course Galen had good intentions! He wanted her to live in water so she could be alive longer! But nooooo. Emma realizes this half way through the book while she's hanging out with Reed. That part just really annoyed me. I mean she knew he was grieving about Rachael! It seriously irritated me...

Also some parts of this book kind of felt... boring to me. I had to skim a few parts so sorry if I got any information wrong or etc. I just couldn't pay attention to some parts because it was just so boring.

I just feel so unresolved! I can't even!
