A Cross-Country Christmas by Courtney Walsh

5.0

The beginning is so funny and I could feel the awkwardness. It had me wondering how in the world will they be able to ride together that long! Lauren had/has a big crush on her older brother’s best friend and now she’s stuck in the car with him for a long road trip. Fumbling over words before the trip started isn’t a good sign. Lauren’s word vomit is hilarious. In my head kept thinking, “oh girl… pull yourself together.”

At first, I was worried that it was going to be a slow book because a road trip… BUT the stops along the way were perfect and kept it from being just very conversations.

In the beginning Lauren was pretty dramatic about everything but it was totally understandable when I put myself in her shoes. I started out not very happy at Will and wondering how he’d ever redeem himself in my eyes… but was the story went on he might be my fav book guy…

I really connected with Lauren because our personalities are similar. I like plans. I like my planner. No plans make me nervous. And my words come out even though my brain says to stop talking.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to rereading it!
