“The infection remained dormant in them because they never needed to believe the bullshit everyone else was perpetuating.”
I swear I didn’t kill my whole family it was the apocalypse you gotta trust me.
The exploration of the impact that the media has on our minds is impactful, but I wish the twist wasn’t given away within the first chapter of the book. I feel like the impact would’ve been larger. I think this book would be a very good intro to the effects that media can have on the mind. This mass psychosis and the idea that they’ve given themselves that everyone else is infected feels like something that could genuinely happen. Convincing our minds and our senses that the end of the world is near. This is something we as a society have been doing for thousands of years and I don’t see it stopping any time soon.
