this book was okay. the grammar wasn’t the best and i think that there were too many synonyms that made the writing super clunky. too much thesaurus usage lmao.

also the use of epithets was driving me crazy (particularly with “the surgeon” like… girl…)

and also here’s a fact: if you lose the outside of your ear, you can still hear. 

overall i didn’t hate this book but it wasn’t really my style. i’ll still read the rest of the trilogy though because the end intrigued me.
