The parts of this book that focus on J.K. Rowling's edits and original manuscripts/art are incredibly interesting. However, that's only about 20% of the book. The rest of the book is one long history lesson. The illustrations are gorgeous, but they're mostly lifted from the book covers and Jim Kay's illustrated editions (translation: they're nothing new). Some parts are more interesting than others, but overall it was pretty dull.
