I’m not sure if I can even find the words. This series has been one of my favorites and I was excited for Cody’s story. And what a story it was! Cody goes to help his new neighbor move in, who’s trying to move in during a storm, when he comes face to face with his past. Hailey is just trying to make a new life for her and her daughter and make sure they both get to finally be safe and happy. The last thing she expected was Cody to be her new neighbor, and for him to keep appearing everywhere. So, when her past comes back and Cody steps in to protect her and her daughter, the close proximity is the last thing she should be focused on. I really loved their story. They both are trying to make up for their pasts, and think they should have to do that alone, when really they’re pretty perfect for one another, and don’t have too. I also really loved Lolly, she brought so many laughs to the story. This one had me on edge with the twists, and pulled at my heart towards the end. Just so good.
