Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again
by Rachel Held Evans
One of those rare books that once I finished, I wanted to start all over again. In fact, I’m likely going to buy my own copy so I can.
This book opened my eyes on the different ways faith can look—previously I felt like you either believed or you didn’t. But here RHE writes you can be skeptical and believing, doubtful and faithful, and that wrestling with god is the only true way to follow your faith.
Part memoir, part collection of short stories, part historical look at the Bible and its content, this book brought the scripture to life for me in a way I haven’t felt in years. I fully intend to read more of her writing—I wish she was still here to be writing more.
