Nature Obscura: A City's Hidden Natural World by Kelly Brenner

informative lighthearted slow-paced

3.5

This book is a very measured look at local species easily discovered in urban and suburban environments. Each chapter discusses a different specie/category. Refreshing in that the organisms discussed in this book are not “popular” species, but instead discuss smaller organisms like barnacles, dragonflies, etc.

The pace on this book was a little slow for me, but I have decided to keep it in my library for the good references that it provides.
