This was such a…letdown.

But, I have to start by saying that I was unaware that Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe was a trilogy, and so I started with this one, which only seems like a marginal mistake, as I don’t think I would have enjoyed it any more starting from the right end of things.

This comic was often confusing, infrequently funny, and most often condescending. This was strange for me as I really enjoyed Bunn’s Night of the Living Deadpool duology–like, really enjoyed. So, I was expecting to love this, but I just…didn’t. I found myself rolling my eyes too often, especially at whoever-his-face-all-knowing-obnoxious-fanboy was. Everything was over the top, unbelievable, and hardly made me laugh.

And, newsflash, Deadpool is supposed to make me laugh.

The art was really well-done, so at least there’s that. The coloring was vibrant and excellent for all the battle scenes…even if the battle scenes themselves were a let down.

I lacking anything else to say about this comic, so I’ll just wrap it all up by saying I don’t really recommend this but I don’t really hate it either, so make up your own mind if you want to read this. Is is worth it? Mehhhh. Will you be upset you wasted your time on it? Mehhhh. It’s all just mehhhh for me.

I’ve been having trouble finding some stellar Deadpool comics as of late, so if you have any to recommend, PLEASE DO!
