Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

4.0

4.5 stars. I’m absolutely blown away by how much I loved this book. I was captivated by the atmosphere and this constant feeling of impending dread. Noemí is an interesting and engaging protagonist and I genuinely enjoyed living inside her head for 300+ pages. My biggest complaint would probably have to be that it felt like every male character wants to have sex with her and at times it was a bit distracting. But the story itself was phenomenal. It may be my favorite read this year.
