I have read Nora Roberts/JD Robb other genres but I don’t think she is a natural crime writer.Normally when I read a good crime book I can’t put it down but sadly that wasn’t the case with this one. I found Roarke wasn’t particularly likeable I thought that he was quite controlling and carried on doing what he wanted to do even though Eve clearly said no to him multiple times . I also have an issue with the fact the book was minute veered from crime to 50 shades of grey territory. I also worked out quite early on who had done it and the book lacked any interesting twists and turns .
