Obi finally dropped the bomb on a boat, and I'm glad Zen is confident enough in his own feelings to not allow that to interfere with his friendship with Obi. While I do kinda wish Shirayuki would be more allowed to add her own input for at least these things that directly affect her life, it was very Obi-like and funny in its execution. I also really like how Ryu is characterized. I think it would be easy with characters like him who are a bit oblivious and unable to comprehend some social aspects to make him the butt of jokes, but instead the story allows him to follow Shirayuki's lead when he's unsure and guide him in a very gentle way. If only all of us could be allowed such grace and acceptance.
