I think I liked this book as much as Fourth Wing! I felt like while we got a ton of answers, this book went farther into the lore/plot than a lot of people predicted, which makes it hard to predict how the rest of the series is gonna look. I got a bit frustrated that, unlike the other books, lots of plans were made off page and the reader was not made aware of what Violet was doing or even why she was doing it for chapters on end. It made certain sections of this book really hard to follow, though on rereads I think it will get easier. I also feel like her foreshadowing was really blunt in this book and made me want to just have all the answers now. I'm on Rebecca's team, I like Dain actually (maybe I see a bit of myself in him?). The ending made me angry, but it a good way (lol). I am so excited for the rest of the series whenever it comes.
