bit slow to beginning with but OH SO SATISFYING.

pierce brown WILL be hearing from my therapy, i was ugly crying listening to it on a dog walk which is just shameful
ragnar, you precious angel “i will make a house for you in the veil of your fathers. it will be beside my own. join me there, when you die. but i am no builder, so take your time. we will wait”
i actually had to stop reading this book for a few days because my little brain couldn’t handle more emotional damage

i will also never cease to be amazed by the beautiful quotes this man slides into such a brutal series like im sorry how stunning are these:
our lives mean so much more than the frail bodies that carry them

if pain is the weight of being, love is the purpose

and as with the last, the romance was just too bloody good i was kicking my little feet
i’m such a sucker for the ‘pulling someone back as they walk away to kiss them’ trope. also “i have everything i need right here” AHHHHH. and mustang telling darrow’s mum about baby pax i just can’t i’m going to start crying again

it was such a fantastic end to the story & that’s making me too scared to read the other trilogy but with how fantastic this was i might have to. but like, am i prepared for more emotional damage???

also lowkey want to buy the paperbacks to annotate them because this series will stay with me forever
