Muriel Barbary is one of my favourite authors of all time and this book just proved why again. This book was basically a love note for food - from her descriptions about bread to whiskey, I was spellbound...and suddenly so hungry.
It's simple but complex. Its a beautiful quick read. You never do end up liking the characters but that's not the point - they aren't important. It's the matter and his thoughts that are.
Now, I'm off to get some bread. Bye.
