Circe my goddess 😭
I was surprised i never heard of this story before but the more I read of the book i started to realise how overt the patriarchal lens is in greek mythology.
Circe's confidence grows as the novel progresses and her resilience is a silent victory in response to the trials and tribulations she faced growing up and during her isolation.
Biggest thing I picked up on towards the end of the novel was that her empathy was her strongest assest and I think she serves as a great role model for young readers to the genre of fminist prose.

Something I don't often notice in books is the writing style but I loved the way this book was written, almost in short hand and it paired really well with the pacing of the book overall.
