REVIEW:
I'm still thoroughly enjoying my task of making my way through the entire Hercule Poirot series. I may even end up adjusting it to try and read all of Christie's works (sheesh, she was prolific).
This definitely wasn't my favorite installment from her, but that's not to say I didn't enjoy it. The pacing was just a bit off for me. It felt like the story meandered for quite a while so my interest kept swaying back and forth.
I do really enjoy when it seems like the case is closed in her books, but then you see there is still a good chunk of the book left to go. Twists are what it's all about for me in a mystery. While I may try to figure out what is going on, if the twist is too predictable or completely illogical, it can ruin the entire book for me. Thankfully, I haven't come across that yet with this series and here's hoping that continues.
Overall, I think if you love classic mystery stories or are already a fan of Agatha's then you should definitely give this one a read. If you're new to her work, there are a few others I might recommend over this one instead.
