I absolutely love that I was familiar with all the places described, (bar the fictional made up places) as it's the same trip I did with my family about 6 years ago. The book, despite being a thriller, did bring back fond memories of our trip. The fun we had and the beauty we explored. Loved every minute of our 7 week adventure.
As for this suspenseful thriller centred around two main characters, I really enjoyed it. Katy, is searching for her sister Phoebe, who went missing whilst travelling the Coast of WA and Beth is caught up in a dangerous relationship with her partner.
Whilst Katy is on the road travelling the same route that Phoebe had, an unusual freaky event causes Katy and Beth to meet. Both hold secrets, but in time they will both come to need and rely on each other more than they ever imagined.
Will Katy find out what happened to Phoebe, and will Beth finally be able to escape her situation?
This was a fun read. The middle was a bit of a slow burn but I was invested enough with the story to keep going.
If you love vanlife, travel and suspense, this one is for you.
