The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham

3.0

It reads like a textbook. The format is kind of interesting. There's Graham's revised text, and then at the end of each chapter there is commentary by Jason Zweig highlighting what (if anything) has changed and adding any additional information that might have become relevant in the years since Graham's writing. Lots of concrete examples, and also has lots of tables and charts to show you what numbers are important and how to look at them.

It's not exactly dense reading. The writing is actually quite friendly on the reader. But there's a lot of information to absorb, so I moved quite slowly through it. I do feel like I learned a lot, although you also get the feeling that there is much more to learn before you're ready to jump into investing with both feet.
