"Without the drugs I'm miserable. Without her I'm nothing."

I thought I was prepared for this story.
I was wrong, but I regret nothing.

A beautiful story filled with raw emotions and heavy themes like grief and healing messily. And it still manages to be hopeful and beautiful. Sometimes the beautiful things do hurt, and I keep coming back for Santana's particular brand of beauty.

Rink Rash takes on fitting in, finding-and keeping-family, and main characters who balance their interactions between toxicity and care.

Read this book if you want a different style of sports romance with sapphic romance, roller derby and a hefty dose of humanity.
