I picked this one up because I've read other Gerritsen's book (it wasn't one with Rizzoli and Isles, and perhaps that was my mistake) and kind of enjoyed it. You know, it was okay. Not really good, but not really bad either.
I really didn't like this one, though. The plot felt cliche and boring, twists and explanations were illogical, pacing was weird & side plotlines distracted from the main one (again, maybe if you read all of Gerritsen's books it makes more sense and all pieces fit together. For obvious reasons, for me they didn't). I've also found the dialogue wooden and every second page wanted to scream "that is not how people talk to each other!", but I've read The Keepsake in languange other than English, so maybe the translator was just shitty.
But I did finish it in two days, so I guess that's a good thing. I probably won't read more of Gerritsen's books, even though I enjoyed the first one I've ever read.
