I really liked this. It opens with Lolly finding out her boyfriend is cheating on her when she is buying him a new Hermes band for his Apple Watch. I haven’t been so engrossed by an opener in a while.

I liked the gossip girl vibes, these characters are the richest and coolest teenagers in New York City society and boy are they dramatic. They’re also really messy and flawed they make mistakes. They’re definitely not black and white and I liked how it was never made obvious who was “good” or “bad”. The plot progressed really nicely, again it was super dramatic and easy to read. The pacing was little wonky just before halfway but after that it was basically breakneck.

I’ve had Anna Karenina sitting on my shelves for years but now I really need to pick it up.
