The characters in this book, are, to put it simply, not nice people. MK, for all that she has been through, is still a mean girl at heart. Her guys grew up as gang members, and their lifestyle is a rough one.
That being said, it’s a very good book. The characters, for all their flaws, are deeply interesting people. The overarching background plot is one of intense intrigue, and the enemies to lovers theme will keep you guessing and groaning at their antics.
There are some definite bully-antics on the part of both Archer and MK, and the characters are often found in less salubrious circumstances.
It’s a fascinating RH romance, set in an intriguing dark world of gangs and corruption.
