Death at La Fenice by Donna Leon

4.0

I absolutely adore Venice, and find the concept of living there fascinating (how would I get my furniture there for a start?), so this series was always going to be difficult for me to resist, and the relatively light plot (compared to my usual gloomy Scandinavian crime choices) had me hooked.

This is the first in the Commissario Brunetti series, and having read more recent ones, it's really interesting to see how the series has progressed and the characters grown.
