3.5 stars. I had high hopes for this as murderbot is one of my favorite series. This was an impressive foray into fantasy, the powers in the world were unique and interesting and I liked how much the plot revolved around politics. However it didn’t fully land, it was hard to totally follow the plot, the plot didn’t make as much progress as I expected, and I wanted more depth on some of the side characters like Ziede.
