I feel like, aside from censoring certain things in the anime, the Apothecary Diaries has a relatively faithful anime adaptations. However, there have been a few times over the course of 9 volumes and 40 some odd chapters where I've understood the story better thanks to the manga. In particular, the chapter titled Mirrors made more sense to me, whereas the first time I watched it in the show, it flew over my head. I honestly wasn't looking forward to reading that chapter because it felt kind of pointless in the show but by the end of it, I was going ohhhhh.
I'm so sad that they cut the Moon Fairy chapters into two different volumes but I'm eager to get back to that right now as I started the next volume.
