This is a fantasy /sci fi story, although it’s a toe dip into the genre, which isn’t one I really read.
It’s about two people Thora and Santi who constantly orbit around each other in various relationships/ time frames.
Each time they meet it feels like destiny. They always have a powerful connection, I was immediately drawn into their different worlds, I found them both fascinating and very likeable characters.
This is a mightily impressive debut with a beautifully accomplished captivating writing style.
The first half I thought was brilliant, I was totally invested. Then for awhile I felt it became a bit samey, then it got a bit too weird for my taste. Then magically it all made perfect sense. Then BAM! I was completely sold!
When the purpose of the different relationships clicked for me, I must admit I’m not always the sharpest knife in the drawer it was like WOW that is genius! Each of their stories are moving, some profoundly emotional. I was in flood of tears at one point.
