Was it thought provoking? Yes.
Was it a pleasant read? Not so much.
I do think I understood and noticed the primary allegories that are oftentimes mentioned in reviews of The Trial. But while I found it an interesting and thought provoking read I found the writing style (could very much be the specific translation) rather bland. While there are much to be found in the details, and between the lines, the general plot was also a bit too predictable and repetitive to help me stay engaged.
