Satan's Affair by H.D. Carlton

2.0

Sibby has the nose of a bloodhound, she can smell evil and once she makes her judgement, she’s out to get you. The takes place in a traveling haunted fair, specifically inside her creepy dollhouse, where with her loyal (and hot as hell) henchmen, she carries out her life mission: “to cleanse the world of evil”, or in other words.

Of course, there’s no business without pleasure, and this book takes us on a hell of a rollercoaster of spice. Imagine your wildest fantasy with five hot men… yeah, it probably happens in this book. Because really, what’s better than rolling around in the stench of rotting eggs, right? (iykyk).

Anyways, I found the book a bit repetitive and if I’m being honest, I didn’t love it. The plot twist was exhilarating, though, and you can definitely appreciate the effort the author put into creating characters with complex and unique personalities.

I love this author and her signature cliffhangers, but in this case, I would’ve loved to see the characters’ personalities explored more in depth, rather than the repeated themes throughout the story. Still, it’s a super easy read, and the writing is as captivating as ever. If I’m being honest, the only reason I read this book is because it’s the prequel to Haunting Adeline, which I’m currently reading.

⚠️ Definitely check the trigger warnings for this one.
