I read this for my co-ed book club. While not my usual genre, this book surprised and fascinated me. In the same ways that murder mystery podcasts do. Parts of the book were really hard to get through, as the narrator, Hank, is a terrible person who makes disgusting commentary and choices. I ultimately finished the book so we could discuss it, and the long, moral debates of what we would've done were well worth slogging through the book. I'd recommend this if you enjoy suspense or thrillers, and aren't afraid of poor morals and unresolved conflicts.
Graphic: Animal cruelty, Animal death, Murder
Moderate: Fatphobia, Sexism
