I agree with all the other reviews that describe this book as a Christmas romance meets the movie Groundhog Day.  At the end of her family's annual week with friends at their mountain cabin, single Maelyn makes a wish to the universe to show her how to be happy in her life.  She's tired of jobs and relationships that go nowhere.  Then begins several days of her starting this vacation week over again.  An accident at some point keeps sending her back to the beginning, but fortunately for the storyline, this pattern only continues for a few repetitions as she realizes she has done something wrong each time.  Once the week begins to progress, and she sees how to make some changes in her life, it's easy to get invested in wanting everything to work out for her.  There are bumps along the way, but it's a very sweet romance with the shared history of growing up together and parents being best friends.
