I love me a good foodie romance and this was the ultimate foodie romance. The descriptions of food were mouth watering like I was literally salivating at the mouth and I genuinely appreciated the amount of thought and care seemed to go into writing these foods. As for the main character, definitely unlikeable and a little delusional at times, but at other times her charm shines through. The romance in this book was pretty solid, but I honestly thought some of the friendships in this book seemed rocky. Although I will say there was a surprising amount of nuance when it came to discussions of influencers vs “high brow” reviewers.
