Barbarian's Touch by Ruby Dixon
5.0
Okay, I take back everything I’ve ever said about all the previous couples. How could Rokan be so perfect; this couple truly has my entire heart. The way that Ruby wrote about Lila's life on Not-Hoth while being deaf, was unquestionably perfect. The deafness representation in this book was truthfully outstanding. I haven't read a lot of satisfactory books about the MC being deaf, as it's always written wrong and almost from a childlike perspective. Ruby Dixon wrote Barbainas Touch with such a mature and authentic view of life while being deaf. Besides all of that, she wrote Rokan flawlessly. He is so patient and charming with Lila, she's undoubtedly got the best mate out of all the humans. The way that he waited until he could completely talk to her, and then some; so he could explain resonance, before he initiated their relationship a step further. Was just so unexpected and almost unheard of, all the other guys, although respectful, always kinda put some pressure on their girl to accept that they were mates, and what came with that. 100000% my favourite book in the Ice Planet Barbarians series, and I don't think that any other one could top it.
"I’m pretty sure Rokan has ground me so hard into the blankets with our lovemaking that I have tufts of fur up my butt. I’m also pretty sure I’m deliriously happy."
