Leigh Bardugo does not disappoint with this one and neither does Lauren Fortgang as the narrator (and I haven't heard her voice since Rule of Wolves so it felt like coming home). Thoroughly enjoyed the 16th century Madrid setting, the magic system, and the slow-burn romance.
Graphic: Torture, Antisemitism, Religious bigotry
Moderate: Confinement, Sexual content, Death of parent
Minor: Infertility
