Kulti by Mariana Zapata

5.0

This is my first book by Mariana Zapata and after months of this book being on my Kindle Unlimited TBR, I thought it was time to promote it to my currently reading list .

At first , I was extremely frustrated with Kulti and thought he was a tad too harsh and aggressive. A good chunk of this book was him being an asshole and I never really understood why. I kept reading and I’m glad I did. He truly does have some soft spots, but a lot of his attitude comes from people betraying his trust . He had a promising career and things happened that seemed to end it all. His relationship progression with Sal was wonderful and I loved the little nicknames he called her especially schnecke. The fact that he doesn’t just do things for everyone really endured me to him. For me he went from asshole to a lovable asshole. All the little things he did for those he truly cared for was beautiful .

Sal was a badass and I loved her from the getgo. She was brilliant, hardworking passionate and selfless. That selflessness did come back to bite her a couple of times because she tended to put others needs in front of her own. I love how she did not let Kulti walk all over her and she stood up for herself and her loved ones. She truly was fun to read and I could relate to her. Her nicknames for Kulti were hilarious and I found myself laughing out loud. I think the one thing I loved most was even though she was getting so much crap from the team for her friendship with Kulti, she did not leave his side and it really showed how loyal she is.

Their banter and sexual tension was incredible, but I do with there was more of it. I was told she was the queen of slow burn , and even though I found myself frustrated with how slow it was it made the ending more incredible ! This book got 5 stars from me.
