The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel
2.0

I’m sorry, but I can’t understand the good ratings on this one lol maybe I just wasn’t the right age group for this, but damn was this far from good.

I don’t know what bothered me more:
1. Eva’s CONSTANT guilt trips and NON STOP need for reassurance from EVERYONE (Yes, girl, you’re a hero, you’re saving lives, you’re doing amazing)
2. Eva’s mother (everything about her, honestly. AND SO FREAKING repetitive)
3. The whole “romance” storyline… seriously, was this book for teenagers and I didn’t notice??
4. How the characters had absolutely no depth to them
5. The “plot twists” and “surprising ending”
6. The writing in general (sorry, but it was quite flat and basic)

If you can look past all of that and need a book to basically turn off your brain, then I guess it can be somewhat entertaining.
