2am Thoughts by Makenzie Campbell
2.0
I am honoured to have read such personal poetry from Campbell, so this review is strictly based on my own preference of poetry delivery, and not intended to offend or discuss the importance of its content. Personally, I found the delivery to be quite amateur, reminiscent of Rupi Kaur (if Kaur was in grade 10). The poetry was more akin to prose, and not like art. I did, however, like the idea of the timestamps and the symbolism of the time in different stages of her loss, grievance, acceptance, and recovery.
TLDR: Did not make much of an impression, but did not dislike it.
