kristenkong 's review for:
Florence & Giles
by John Harding
Imagine Henry James's The Turn of the Screw rewritten by Edgar Allan Poe.
What I loved about this book was the narrative voice. Florence is the narrator and tells the story in her own made-up language, mixing parts of speech -- nouns for verbs, or adjectives, for example. It was just a delight. One of my favorite lines was: I will wasp her picnic!
