3.5⭐️ so I rounded up! This was a very sweet, wholesome romance! There was definitely tension but no spice really.
Was this the best writing ever? No. But was it super cute and a good story? Yes. I do believe this is a debut author, so the writing was fine all things considered. (I could be totally wrong in saying that.)
I really enjoyed the characters but at points I became frustrated with them by their interactions. And even though sometimes I was like ehhh that dialogue didn’t seem natural, it didn’t inhibit my ability to immerse myself in the minds and lives of the MCs. I did really enjoy this story!
It also seemed like the author was setting up certain side characters to have their own love story kind of like Tessa Bailey did in It Happened One Summer and Hook, Line, and Sinker. I will most likely read them if I’m correct in this hypothesis!
