I listened to this in audio form and thought the narrator did great. I thought the mystery and intrigue was well thought out and unfolded nicely. A page turner for me. I liked seeing some of the old characters written into the story. Overall, this story had all the markings of a well written story: solid dialogue, plot, characters, flow. I think it best to be read in order as you could get confused.
The romance part of the book had me guessing as to which path it would go and how'd it end. I thought the wrap up and self reflection and growth in both of the main characters was great.
This does touch on the seedier and depraved side of humanity-forced work in brothels and predator against a child (this wasn't detail more alluded to.) However, not in detail or as a part but not main focus.
