I really enjoyed this, particularly the audiobook (that I got to listen to in advance for free via the PRHAudio Influencer Program, thank you!). It was a nice touch to have 3 narrators as there are short multi-media still clips in between some chapters and I will admit I am a sucker for those.
This gave me subtle Hayley Williams inspo vibes, a female celeb that has not always been treated well by the public, has had relationships end and been scrutinized. And most romantically- eventually fell for her childhood friend to lover bandmate after years of circling around each other. To be clear this book is still its own thing as the band had a long period of being broken up and the main characters did actually have a public romantic relationship prior to that break up so this is truly a second chance romance, but it did give me those same vibes of falling down a Paramore rabbit hole in the best way.
My reason for the 4 stars is just the pacing. I found all the bandmates and their personalities and backstories so interesting, the beginning just all unfolded as you would expect and kind of dragged for me a bit even though the writing is high quality.
Also, I love the cover. So I'd recommend this especially if you like rockstar romances!
